We Want to be Heard

July 27, 2009
David Butler High School

Butler once again is not competeting.  To all of the cheerleaders its a very big disappointment, an even bigger one to the seniors because its their last chance. Butler cheerleading has been STATE CHAMPIONS so  many years stright.  Ever since i was a feshmen i looked forward to being apart of that title.
Sometimes us cheerleaders don't feel like we're being heard or get credit for wat we do. All we ever ask for is to be considered in making decisions or letting us have a vote.   They say "It's never to late to do wat u want"....or...."do everything u can if u really want it,"   well for us it is, our coach has made the decsion for us an made for herself.   We are not competeing an she will have it no other way.  All we wanted is to have a goal to strive for, something fun for ourselves other than the whole student body. Let us feel like we are something an not just cheerleaders at a football game no one cares for. Now were just like everyone else at the games cheering on our team,  butler cheerleaders were known as state champs.
We loved an miss the old cheer program an wish it never went  but hope to love an keep this one.
thanks for listening your butler cheerleaders
