ANDREWS - The Asheville Citizen-Times has reported that Dane Rickett has been hired as the new head football coach and athletic director at Andrews High School.

The paper stated that Rickett was approved in a vote by the Cherokee County Board of Education on Thursday.

Rickett, who most recently was an assistant coach at Robbinsville, has been an assistant at two other Smoky Mountain Conference schools in his career - Andrews and Murphy.
