Messer leads South Caldwell to victory

Hickory Daily Record HUDSON - South Caldwell High’s quest for a third consecutive appearance in the state 4A championship series got off to a slow but effective start Friday night. It took a few innings to get the bats warmed up, but the Spartans moved to the second round with a 7-0 win against visiting Ashbrook. South Caldwell (22-1), the defending state 4A champion, will meet Mount Tabor (13-11) on Tuesday at South Caldwell in the second round. To read this entire article, click here!
