GASTONIA – With Tuesday’s 5-0 victory over Forestview in the 3-A girls soccer playoffs, Roberson broke Charlotte Catholic’s six-year-old state record for shutouts in a single season.

The Rams’ victory also set up a fourth-round meeting with Charlotte Catholic. Roberson (26-0), which has blanked 24 of its opponents, will play 7 p.m. Friday at Charlotte.
