Rocket wrestlers denied playoff berth; 4 named to All-PAC-6 Team

Despite amassing over 20 wins for the third year in a row and going undeated in non-conference matches, the Person wrestling team was not awarded a wild-card berth in this year's Division 4A duals playoffs. The disappointing postseason news was offset, however, by the naming of four Person wrestlers to the All-Piedmont Athletic Conference team late last week. Receiving the honors were John Newton at 152 pounds, C.J. Younger at 160, Gerald Pollard at 130, and heavyweight Collin Campbell. For more on this story click on The Couirer=Times link below. |
