Shotwell shuts down Bucs in 3-0 Rocket win

Judging from her performance while dealing with physical ailments over the last two seasons, Person softball pitcher Brittany Shotwell doesn't appear to let injuries phase her. Last year, Shotwell pitched the entire season with a broken finger, and just a week ago, the senior hurler had an MRI done on her back and received a cortisone shot.
Since then she's thrown nine scoreless innings: four in relief in last Friday's 11-inning, season-opening win over Oxford Webb, and five more in a 3-0, five-inning, no hit shutout of Bartlett Yancey Wednesday afternoon at Person High School Field.
